Father McKenzie…

…writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear…

No one comes near.

The numbers on participation in the Synod on Synodality are out. It’s all over now but the Roman phase. One wonders if the “sense of the faithful” can speak through silence?

Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name…

Nobody came.

  1. URL works. I’m concerned about the statistical tail wagging the dog. Is there a provision for participation? Will decisions be made to appease the outspoken majority of the deafening minority of participants?

As I said previously, I wish the Church hierarchy would take their authority as shepherds seriously, and stop asking the sheep what they want. We want to follow our shepherds! We don’t want to make decisions. Please just feed us!

    Maybe that’s just me…

  2. Excellent analogy!

…Fr. McKenzie, wiping the dirt from his hands as he walked from the grave, no one was saved. All the lonely people where do they all come from? All the lonely people where do they all belong? ________________________________
